Ok so i took the talon out to the 1/8 miles a month ago with wallmart tires, 12 psi, and 1/4 tank of 93 ocatane. Best run 9.78, spinning first every run 2.3 60 foot. :/

Tonight i took the car out with new kumho 712s on 1/4 tank of 93 and 2 gallons of 100 octane on 1 bar. Best run tonight was a 9.90 :cry: with a .801 reaction and a 2.3 60 foot.

Is the 100 octane hurting me? i dont klnow whats goin on for me to lose time.

I beat a 1g 90 gst, 14b, 18 psi. :p

i bogged launching at 3k rpm and sliping clutch so did it from 4 and sliped it and spun, so i ddi 3500 and slipped way out and thsats when i got better 60 ft and times.

well im always pegged at rich when at WOT, is that bad?

i will run straight 93 next time, and next time i will have a new clutch, what clutches do you guys reccomend for drag strip use on a fwd (i will be adding power very soon : ie bigger turbo fuel mods etc.)
 
How much power do you wanna make? What do you do with the car? If you're planning on a 16g and some supporting mods then a 2100 would do fine. If you plan on making more than 322 tq then a 2600 may be a better bet for you. On a sidenote, does anyone know what happened to the Ferramic clutches that AMS used to sell? I was looking to get one to replace my 2100 when it goes out but they no longer list it on their site.

its my daily, but i wanted to get into the 13s
 
The Khumo 712s arent any better in the traction department than your other tires. They are very unforgiving and force you to abuse your clutch in order to run a decent time. But hey, for the price they are the best bargain performance tire you can get.
 
well lets just put the difference this way,

Old tires : on street, spun bad 1st, in rain, omfg spuun 1st 2nd and 3rd. at the track i spun first bad

712's : spin on dry road , only 1st in rain, sometimes 2nd will break loose, and at the track it didnt spin unless i launched
 
If all you want is some solid 13's then a 2100 should do you fine. I have an extra set of stock wheels if you wanted to put some DR's or slicks on them, plus I only live across the pond from you. :thumb:

i was looking to put a 50 trim on the talon with 49 ar t3. he wants 550 for it and its new, never used.


what pump and injectors will i need with this turbo? and will the 2100 be ok?
