does anyone else have there back kill them will driving there car? What kind of seats should i get? Do you think racing seats would help that or should i try something else.

If your seats hurt your back, perhaps you should first find out WHY and WHEN it's causing your pain. For instance, my back starts to hurt on any car seat after a while because I actually have back issues.

IMO find some seats you like and "test" them out by sitting in them and see how comfy they are for you. Racing seats are designed to keep in locked in so you don't move around.

I also have back pains regardless of the seats I'm in (again, I have legit back problems). Everyone is going to have a different preference on what type of seats feel best and are the most comfy. Got any friends with different types of seats? Racing seats isn't the answer all the time.

I only drive 30 to 40 mins away everyday. And it only hurts when i drive my eclipse and not my work truck i dont know if its the seat or how low it is.

I have driven 500 miles in one day non stop in these seats many times. While they are not the most comfortable seats they are not the worst. They do make my back a bit stiff and can be slightly painful at times.

Even in my truck after a drive like that my back is stiff but not as stiff as my 2g seats. However I found 1g seats to be more comfortable but they are ugly seats LOL

You may want to call a company who specializes in seats(ie sparco) and racing apparel. There's a place about 1.5 hours from me that has a full show room, WITH SEATS on a bench for you to test fit. I cant think of the name right now, but looking into a place like that may help you to find someone knowledgeable about long term driving and comfortability.

racing seats are some of the worst seats for long drives. They are not ment for long drives they are ment for really hard driving for short periods. It keeps your driving skills up by not throwing you around in the seat.

Good seats that are good for long distance and easy on the back are usually stock recaro's like outta a cobalt evo sti something like that. Most factory seats are a good balance and feel great. Most seats that are just racing seats are hard and stiff how they should be if you where raceing.
