Ok, I am finally about this ( |---| ) close to buying new rims and tires. I have just about settled on the new for 2004 Alt Racing At-298 X factors in silver. They are cast aluminum 17x7.5 with an offset of 40mm and they weigh in at 19.2lbs. I am thinking a 235/45/17 tire would be a good choice. Does anyone anticipate rubbing? Either on the fender or on the suspension? I do want the tire to stick out past the rims just a little to protect them. Check them out at the link below. Does all of this sound good?I hope I haven't overlooked something?

They are the silver ones, second from top. Let me know what you guys think.

The rim itself will fit on fine. I would bump up to the 18 tho if you are getting a rim with a lip like that, the 17 will look pretty small on there, but thats just my opinion. Do a search and see if a 235 tire will fit ok on a 7.5" rim. I can't remember but i don't think it will and if it will then its just the on edge of fitting. Good looking wheels tho.

Sounds like a good fit to me. That's the kind of question I like. You've already done your research and you just want someone to verify.
