New motor, tuning

I just completed building the new motor that will go in my 1g Talon. 4g63 block (shop decked the crap out of it), Evo 9 pistons, HKS 264/272 delta cams, modified 1g MAS, evo 8 valve springs, 4g67 head w/ valve job and resurface.

I plan on dropping the motor in this coming weekend. I have not yet purchased any kind of piggy back or tuning device for the new motor so my question is: Am i alright to run this setup without a tune until I can get a safc, or should I not run the car at all? This car will be my daily driver when it is running.

I am new to tuning so I am open to suggestions, please share your wisdom. Tips on alternate tuning devices would be great. In college, just build motor, cash poor

If you have stock fuel (injectors and pump) and stock turbo you could probably kick it over, but I wouldn't really drive it without at least a logger.

Wow, quick reply, I have stock injectors and I run n/t.

would I need to advance or retard my timing by a couple degrees in order to run this setup with a slightly better tune? Again, I've no other means of tuning due to lack of hardware and knowledge. I'm still brushing up on the tuning thing.
