I have a 94 first generastion eclipse GS and i want to put a 1992 6 bolt GS-T motor in my car. Is that hard to door or is it pretty easy, and will it cost me alot to do.

please help me obee

Im not 100% sure on the specs of a 1g but, I do know that on a 2g in order to go from a 7 bolt to a 6 bolt they make some kind of kit, never really looked into it, but thats on turbo models. Ive compared engine compartments from my car to a 1g non turbo and they look fairly similar, you might get away with it if you fabricate the motor mounts. On second thought, I can't say that his motor wasn't a 4g6g non turbo, didn't check engine code.

However I do know that a 420a to a 4g63 swap on a second gen. is near impossible, costs more than buying the entire car iself, price estimate of somewhere around $8,000. Almost every shop wont even attempt.Sorry if this reply kinda craps on your heart but, its what I know.

Anyone feel free to add or even correct me in some cases if im wrong.

The "kit" composses of an adpater to use the stock 1G CAS as the 2G crank sensor and cam sensor.

The motor mounts should be in the same location, if not the 1G block probly has the holes drilled for the 2G mounts.

now, to take a N/T car to a T car.
Need engine.
Have, or convert to manual.
Need the ECU for the Turbo engine.
Run 2 wires, 1 for the 7th MAS wire, the other for the Knock sensor.
a Turbo MAS
Fabricate oil and or water coolant lines..

Hell just look on vfaq it is all on there...
