New motor, good starter but no crank?? 0_o

Hey guys, I just put my friends motor in his GSX, when I finally got it all in and ready to start I get nothing but a buzz from the starter relay under the dash.. Took the starter out and tested myself, solenoid clickd and starter spun just fine. Put it back in, double checked my ground, thought maybe the spot I had it was a bad spot so I put the ground to a different one. I made sure all my connector were connected, hooked the battery back up (terminals are tight) and tried again.... Same buzz as before.. I tried unplugging the clutch safety switch same outcome, then I unplugged the relay just to see what itd do and turnd the key and made no sound, so I put a different relay in from my gsx and it still buzzes.. Im lost guys any help would b appriciated.. Thanks

Does the engine turn over by hand? Have you checked power at the starter?

I know the motor turns over by hand cause I turned it when I put the new TB on. I need to get a test light before I can check for power at the starter.. But even "IF" the motor was seized that doesnt explain why Im not getting a click from the solenoid at least. Ya know? Could there be a wire at the ignition thats grounding out? Im at a loss here.

mine did the same thing cause the ground from the intake mani to the fire wall wasnt tight enough.

Yeah dude triple check all your connectors and grounds. (there's a few of them)

make sure all connection are also connected. theres 3 alone just on the starter. theres also a nother connector plus the grounds. I had a sillular issue when we did a battery relocate in my buddys car. start was spinning but the solenoid wasnt poping.

Wow I feel like the biggest retard in the world.. Threw the starter back in hooked that ground up and bam!! haha.. Thanks phellas for the suggestions..
