New Injectors smell of gas???

I found a similar thread, but I wanted some more opinions. I purchased some 550cc Lucas injectors from a company that said they were new. Upon receiving them, they smell of gas and don't look like they are new. I say that don't think they look new since they were tossed into a plastic bag with some bubble wrap. Your thoughts?

Post some close up pics of the seals and such, but they sound used as you said.
