Hey so Yesterday I changed the fuel pump (from W255 to Evo 9) the car run great and there are not any noise It is like oem fuel pump thanks for all the advises:thumb:.
Now I have other little problem I took the car for a drive and I got fuel smell inside the car at any random time, I do not know if I forget to do something (when changed the pump) or maybe the car is running rich I still have not touch the safc because the car apparently run good and my FPR mark the same 43 psi than before.

I need some advises from where began to eliminated the smell gas

Thanks

I'm not sure I have an answer to why you are smelling fuel, but your safc settings have nothing to do with your fuel pressure regulator or what your fuel pressure guage is saying. Your pump and your fuel pressure regulator determine your fuel pressure and your safc is for adusting your fuel trims by altering your injector pulse width. You may just be running rich, but won't know without a wideband o2 sensor. Good luck:thumb:

Yes makes this weekend I ll do some pulls with the WB but I wonder that all the rest are ok to do it When I'm driving, I can smell gas while I'm driving... When I turn my car off and I walk to the back towards the trunk, I can smell it more. There are no visible leaks this I want to fix before to do the pull, you know how?

Did you replace the rubber gasket between the sending unit and fuel tank when u swapped fuel pumps?

Exactly it's better to know with the wideband to see if your running rich but a simple eay fix would have been to check the seal as mentioned above. It can happen.

Yes change the rubber gasket. That should take care of it

Ok I am still smell GAS yesterday I changed the rubber gasket and then did a test I closed the windows and run for a while a friends put his noise near the pump and Nothing the gas disappeared but when opened the windows the smell come back Its defiantly from outside I stopped the car and checked the car
Smell little gas near the FPR but I checked for leak and nothing visible (I think that here is not the problem because I did not touch it and was very insignificant)
Smell consider unburned fuel from the exhaust
Smell fresh gas near the tank around the back right tired I look for a visible leak but nothing

Please I need some advice I am getting crazy:confused:

I'm going to suggest that you have a line that didn't get all the way back on. Possibly the vent for the tank. I say that because I did the same thing once. And the only time I could smell it was when I went around a corner and all the gas went to one side of the tank, or when I put to much gas in the tank.

Just check it out.

I will check it thanks for the advice I was looking some post and I saw one where do something under the car while change the pump, I did not so nothing under the car can be the problem?

I agree with rlacasse1. Maybe when you were loosining the lines one cracked? Or like he said one wasnt secured on all the way. If you didnt take the tank out to replace the pump then there should be nothing under the car. I would just take that access panel back out and inspect that area to see if you may have missed something.

I had a similar problem to this after I put my 255 in and replaced my fuel filter. But you said you didnt touch anything besides your pump. My problem was the bolt on the filter wasnt tight enough and was leaking causing me to smell fumes inside the cabin. Only advice I can give you at this point is just inspect all fuel components in the engine bay (lines, rail, injectors ect...)
