I recently got new injectors. i was on my stock ones for a while, i have a AGP RS 49 turbo and was lookin forward to turnin up the boost with my new injectors but now that they are in, right when boost start to build, aroud 3.6k RPM its good, but once 4k comes around, it just falls on its face. I cant build more then 4 psi before it falls on its face. It sort of feels like fuel cut, but i know it cant be that. I have DSM Link and i tried to lean it out quite a bit and no luck fixing the problem. I dont have a FPR, is that mandatory when upgrading the fuel to this extent?

Here are my mods:
intake,3 in exh,bov,dp,APG 49,680cc,walburo 255,boost controller,FMIC&all hard pipes,DSMLink.

Here are the specs of my turbo
-49 lb/min compressor
-50 trim T04E compressor
-76 trim T31 turbine wheel
-T04E (3" inlet, 2" outlet) compressor housing

PLZ HELP!

Maybe the spark plugs got fouled out if you didn't lean out the global settings in DSMLink as soon as you put the bigger injectors in. You don't need a FPR, I have friends running 880s and making over 600whp with stock fuel systems besides inejctors and a fuel pump.

DSM Link doesnt have a field to put injector size, you just have to tune it accordingly with fuel trims and such...

as for the injectors, ill try that tommorrow morning and keep ya'll posted, thank you guys for all your help!! IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED! i have had this turbo for almost 6 months and have yet to feel its full potential!!!

Right, my bad. I was thinking of the global compensation the chips come with from DSMlink.. kinda hard to change that on your own :)

You can still change the global settings as well as the deadtime for the new injectors. The users manual that comes with DSMlink has recommended settings for all size injectors, it should get you pretty close. :thumb:

What are your global and deadtime settings in DSMlink? Are you still having basically the same problem? You say you need more help but don'tsay what's going on now or what you've already tried. Give us more info so we can give you more. :thumb:

hey i have a quick question, so is that turbo you got good? cuz i got the rs 60 and dont know much about it.

*** NEW UPDATE**

New plugs, gapped to .28, Global fuel -31 and deadtime set at 180

car can actually boost now. Its really sluggish at low low RPM's, when i get to about 2700RPM it starts to make power, then once i get to about 10PSI it will stop gaining, i can seem to get more then 10psi, i have my manual boost controller practically maxed out. Could to much fuel cause it not to gain boost? What could be causing this to not gain more then 10psi? any help would help!!!! PLEASE HELP MEEE!!!!!

:dsm: thanks guys! :dsm:

Maybe a silly question, but did you make sure the injectors are seated correctly? Make sure you didn't pinch any of the bottom O-rings (between injector and head) when installing the injectors. You used all new Orings with the injector right? The old ones get hard with age.

You have THE best logging equipment availible for 2Gs but you're not using it!!! What are you trims doing? What's a WOT pull look like? That would help a hell of a lot more than the feeling your getting. So far, the slow/nill spool sounds like it's still too rich or you've got a boost leak. Either of those would also contribute to a shitty feeling ride as far a hesitation and a sluggish ride.

I would say make a log and post it on the dsmlink boards, we might be able to see what's wrong in one of the logs or we might have some suggestions to try and get your car running right.

Not to say DSMTuners isn't a good forum for tuning help, but when you have dsmlink's forums there really isn't a better place to go. DSMLink seems like a freakin steal after you see the wealth of information you get from the forums they have.

Good luck.

thanks everybody for their input, i dont have a boost leak, i double checked the plugs and they are fine, im going to post a few logs on here as well as the DSMLink forums. i should have them posted tonight hopefully, if not tommorrow.

Thanks again for everybody's help!!!!
