hello my name is Darius and I picked up a 99 eclipse rs with a 420a about a month ago an I’m having an issue. I drove my eclipse home the day I bought it and it would stall out when coming to a stop I’m thinking that the new throttle body that the previous owner forgot to adjust it. That’s not my concern. My concern is now that it’s parked it won’t start. The starter just spins or grinds against the flywheel like it’s not grabbing properly. I tried a new starter an had the same result. My cousin said it’s most likely my clutch. I just want to make sure before I order one. Thanks in advance. Any information is greatly appreciated

I tried to make a DSM profile but I don’t have any track times to put up and it won’t let me without them. I’ve only driven the car the day I bought it. It’s been sitting ever since been trying to figure it out for almost a month now and it’s irritating cause I can’t get it up to my shop to put it on the lift

You should be able to do it without them. Try again, and if not then just fill it in with some zeros.

Welcome... Check to make sure all the teeth on the flywheel are there and not missing. You can also pull the starter out and check to make sure when it gets power the gear inside the starter is shooting out. Also while you are there make sure the teeth on the starter are not rounded off.
