2G New Headlights?

So I know theres already a few posts on different headlights but I would like to know what everyone likes as far as they go. Halo's, Projectors, just go with HID's? And second are the ebay headlights just pieces of crap or what? Why are they so cheap. Lol. Thanks.

My brother is buying some HID bulbs off an ebay seller for his 3kgt. I'll post up how well they work and how nice they look. They have a 2 year warranty so it can't be too bad.

I don't know much about bulbs except that I like a blue tint to mine...

Check out ddmtuning.com they have hid kits for very cheap. I paid 30 with shipping and have been very happy with them and they were direct plug and play and dont use crappy wiring like some of the ones on ebay

Sounds like HID is the way to go eh? I kinda wanna go with something black though...since everything else on my car is black. Maybe get aftermarket lights and HID's?

Yeah, just buy a cheap hid kit...Ive been running 6000k hid kits from XENTEC on both my talon and my daily driver lexus gs300 and they look great!

It takes no more than 5 minutes to install them and they now come with the extra slim ballasts which are cool looking and easy to tuck away.

Yea I agree with that. I am running 8000k in my projectors. I think HID and projectors work well together. Also the HID's I have in my car came from Japan and I them since like 07. Oh and yea ebay headlights costs are reasonable and are the same if you brought them thru some custom shop who will charge you double or sometimes triple.

I bought just the 97-99 OEM replacement, If you get them off ebay, or Amazon they are about the same, they look good, but the housing looks to be of an inferior grade of plastic compared to stock, but at 90 bucks for the pair I wasn't complaining.

If you ever want a proper cutoff and to not blind oncoming traffic with HID's, do a proper retrofit setup. Putting HID bulbs in the stock reflector housings is never the best idea. The eBay headlights aren't the best by any means and most experienced people avoid them, but I have seen people do work on them to get them to be decent.

^This user used to retrofit both 1g and 2g headlights and sell them through SharpHID.com, but they aren't currently offered. You could always send him a PM and see if he plans on building anymore anytime soon.
