New Head And Still Problems

Ok so recently my timing belt broke and I had some bent valves. I went ahead and bought a used head with comp cam 101200s. I installed the head and Ive redone the timing about 10 times now because Im trying to get it perfect.

I got the timing marks dead on and the car runs but it doesnt feel as strong as it should. When I go full throttle it feels like it gets to about 5k and just goes flat, no power.

I also noticed when I change the position of the cam angle sensor the car doesnt perform any different, is this normal? The car is hard to crank until it warms up as well. Im running a dsm chip tune but I havent got a new tune since the cams. Here is a video of the car at idle.

The used head could have valve problems also, have you done a compression test since the new head has been on.

Did you bleed the lifters by chance?

do you have adjustable timming gears. sounds like you need to adjust the cams. the tempeture sensor on the engine is what tells your car if its hot or cold making your car hard to start till it warms up.

I had the head taken to the machine shop and got new valves put in before I installed it. And boostinout I think you are perfectly right because I noticed yesterday when I started the car the fans came on as soon as I cranked the car and it never used to do that. What sensor do I need to replace to fix this?

Thanks guys. It was the sensor on the thermostat housing. I installed a new one and the car runs fine and starts like it did before the new head. Now all I have to do is the boostleak test.
