Hi,

I have a 2g GSX, needed a new clutch for the old one was slipping. Got a new clutch, throw out bearing, master and slave cylinder, bled the system many times.

Car drives perfectly fine for about 10 minutes, after that the clutch pedal starts to raise up and get harder and harder to push in the clutch. This is from normal driving. Now I just realized that theres is a "clutch damper" connected to the slave cylinder and we decide to bleed that and all this air comes out. So we bled the entire system again and test drove it and the car still does the same thing. It seems like a hydraulic problem.

I checked the slave cylinder and its working fine, I can push it back and forth. Both the master and slave are oem aswell. Now when I take it for another test drive and the car does a same thing, I crack open the bleeder valve and all this brake fluid shoots out from all that pressure build up. Now could it be that, that clutch damper is no good anymore? I'm really running out of options.

RRE

"Only 2Gs have a relief valve in the master cylinder that needs to be uncovered so fluid can go back into the reservoir on the clutch release. If not, it gets tighter and tighter and tighter. Then it may slowly relieve the pressure and it is back to normal."

I definitely have clutch "pump up" but can't figure out how to fix this pump up problem, everyone keeps giving me the RRE link but doesn't explain how to do this mod, I even asked RRE themselves and they just send me the same link. Supposedly to fix this clutch pump up problem, I have to take apaprt the master cylinder and uncap the relief valve? Is this correct? Can someone please explain how I can do this mod? thanks for the help.
