1st off I read all related threads and found nothing soo... My deal is I bought a 96gst spyder that already had a 90-91 6 bolt swap. The guy said he had put a new trans in it also which it appeared he had done. The halfshafts need to be replace so I went out and bought shafts for a 96 gst.. Thing is the splines wont go into the trans. So Im guessing maybe he installed a 90-91 trans also?? Please help me out if you have ever heard of someone else having this problem or you can simply make a suggestion. Thanks in advance..

Check and see how many motor mounts bolt up to the tranny, if it has 3 motor mounts it has a 2g transmission. Putting in a 1g tranny would be a major job because it doesnt have locations on it for a motor mount to bolt up to.

Make sure the parts store didn't screw up, I highly doubt the transmission is from a 1g.

Another thing to check is to make sure he didn't install a converted awd tranny? It doesn't seem that likely but they have a different sized shaft vs fwd as well (should be able to tell because the old drivers side half shaft will be a two piece vs fwd which is a one piece). Like said, it could be an early 1g fwd tranny but that doesn't seem that likely either. More then likely a part store screw up. You'll see many posts where even the manufacturer is labeling their axles wrong for us.

Thanks a bunch.. Ive delt alot with online companys and thats where I have bough all of my parts for this project so far as Im overseas in the military. For some reason the possibility of the vendor screwing up didnt even go through my mind ( should of been the 1st).. I will verify with a local parts dealer when I return to the states.. Thanks again!
