I just installed my new greddy type-s and now my car seems like it's bogging down a little. I won't have a boost gauge till monday but could the fact that the outlet on the type-s for the boost gauge is open couse that or should I look somewhere else?

When you say outlet do you mean it's not venting back to the intake so you have the BOV hole open and the hole on the intake pipe open?

there are three outlets on the bov, one to recirculate, on vac line to the head or intake manifold or something (can't remember/irrelivant) and one for easy installation of a boost gauge

No it's not for a boost gauge. You hook it to a boost source before the throttle body. When you close the throttle plate, the vacume from the engine(larger nipple connected to intake manifold) pulls opens your bypass valve. When you have the smaller connected to a boost source, it helps push open the valve while the vacume pulls... if that makes sence. It is optional though. You can leave it unconnected and the valve will work fine.

So you do have the tube going from the recirc on the BOV into the intake? Cause your symptoms sound like its venting to the atmosphere still...

It's definetly recirculating and I have no plan of ever changing that. If there's a leak its very small. The bogging is very slight and only in 3rd and above. It's so slight that maybe I'm just imagining it. I'm gonna be installing a front mount in a couple weeks so I'll be replacing all my piping, we'll see what happens after that.

I had it adjusted at the garage but I'm not sure that it's right. The car seems to drive right but just for fun--------what would be the best procedure to make sure it's adjusted right?

Tighten it down on the top and run it. Not all the way tight, just tighter than it is. Do this (tightening) till your BOV starts to Flutter instead of ppsshhhttt. Once you hear the flutter loosen it off 1/4 turn and run it again. Do this (loosen) until the flutter stops and you NOW hear the pppssshhhttt, you are ready to run.

That is the procedure I used for mine. It worked out fine. You want it tight enough to hold but not too tight or you will get compressor surge (fluttering) and that is not good for your turbo. If you hear it while you are doing it you will be ok, just stop and adjust. I get a slight flutter in the morning, maybe once or twice but once the air and the engine heat up alittle it is good again.

Good Luck and if anyone has a better plan by all means go for it.

after I adjusted it seems ok, I had if flutter a couple times since but only at low rpm when I let off the throttle.
