i am not sure if this fuel is available everywhere, but it is here in nebraska.

its called E-85 i think its 85% ethenol, 15 gas. it has an octane rating over 105 i think. is it safe or benificial for my talon? i don't think you can make as much power with ethenol but i am not sure.

should i run a mix, or not waste my time and money or what?

so youd like to run your car off corn! i wouldnt use it unless you have a better ignition. il fry ur cyclynders to run that high of octane everyday.

ignore that, that was the stupidest thing ive ever heard.

read up on the internet, e-85 is good stuff because its cheap and high octane, howver, it doesnt last nearly as long as gas and you must completely retune your car for it.

LOL

With the 15% ethanol we have in SD I have seen my EGTs rise when using that. I can only imagine what it would be with 85% ethanol.

We have that crap in Canada at 94 octaine. It's the only gas that ever game me CEL's for random misfires and much worse gas mileage. My car runs better on regular 91 octane gasoline. It's lower BTU fuel so you have to burn more of it for optimum combustion. Don't use it unless you really need/want the higher octane rating.

well i have a hks safr and a datalogger so i can tune my car. i do kinda need higher octane, i boost creep to about 20 psi, and i want to run 20 on the street all the time. i knew the gas mialage was worse with it.

the pump that has it reads 100+ octane i checked it out after school(i posted this during school) i thought if i mixed half gas half e-85 or something i could get like 95.5 octane and run 20 psi safely. btw i have put in a larger 34mm gate and i will not externally gate it. i will get a to4b and call it good before externally gateing it.

i use the 94octane with the mix of ethenol. my car runs perfect. used for more then a yr, not one problem with it.

not sure about the 85% ethenol....but for sure u will need to do alot of tuning.
