new fuel filter - now stalling @ idle

i just installed a new fuel filter today. had no problems with the removal and install. before starting the car, i allowed it to pump fuel. heard a few 'clicks', then waited a little, then started it. started up fine. ran great. then after driving about 100 ft. i came to a stop and my car stalled. started up again just fine. every time after driving and coming to a stop, it would stall. do you think this problem will go away after driving and 'breaking in' this new filter it will go away?

it's not installed backwards, is it? i've seen it happen

There are a lot of vacumm lines aroud that area, make sure you don't have a leak.

no i didnt insall it backwards, made sure of that... i will check the vaccum lines in the morning...
