Hey guys i just got done installing my new aeromotive fuel pressure regulator on my 2g talon. Car is on dsmlink and 550s with a 255 pump. Ran fine with the stock regulator now it doesnt run at all...

car starts up and wont even idles its so lean then i rev it up too 3000k and it fuel cuts. Am i missing something here do i have to changes something on dsmlink.

You do not have to change anything in DSMlink. Are you sure your regulator is hooked up correctly? Gofer drew a real nice diagram and I will look for it. Also what is your base fuel pressure. You can check this by having the key in the on position and the engine not running and use the misc. tab in ECMlink to turn on the fuel pump. It should be at 43.5 psi.

Here is the diagram that Gofer made.

Man i did exactly all of this exactly how your telling me.. all i did was put this regulator on , new alternator, new plugs, thats it

Did you check to see what the pressure is at the regulator? If the mechanical pressure is different in comparison to what ECMLink believe it to be then your fuel trims will be way off.

Ok. I have 44 psi with the pump on car not running. Could this not be a fuel problem. Tm I will triple check everything fuel trims for sure.

well i spent the whole morning trying to figure this car out. After putting the stock regulator back on i realized its not that. Car just wont run. This all started when the crank pulley failed and i replaced that and the alternator. Car starts and runs but leans out completly and wont rev. I didnt alter nothing else before i replaced those two items. Car ran great before.

Any ideas or even locals around my area wana help

Thanks

Can you keep it running long enough to check your voltage at the battery? I would start there just to make sure your alternator is putting out enough juice. I would be looking for at least 13.5 volts at the battery with engine running.;)
