I have a '95 Eagle Talon tsi awd. I spun a rod bearing and rebuilt the entire motor with stock internals. Once rebuilt when I tried to start the car the ECU burnt up due to a locked up IAC motor. I replaced the ECU with a '97 fwd ECU. I have no boost leaks. The car seems to bog down whenever in boost. It has major lack of power-- 15.8 quarter mile and I can only hit 10 lbs of boost. It seems to run rich in boost but this is according to an inaccurate aka 'narrow' band. It just doesn't have the power that it used to with the old ECU. A friend seems to think it's a timing issue. Any suggestions or helpful ideas would be great. Also, I do not know if there is difference between a manual ECU and automatic ECU. Could this be the source of my problems?
