ok so i just finished a bunch of things on my car.

galant vr-4

the car already has a built bottom end,272's, and greddy emanage.

installed~
fp3065
rod bearings
1000cc injectors
gm maft
keydiver chip

the car refuses to idle or make boost

if i rev it on idle the throttle feels almost "detached" and its very sparatic. i have the isc and the other crap removed from the throttle body so it always took a minute to get the idle warmed up but this is differnt.

when driving when i get to 0 on the boost gauge it immediatley goes limp and just falls on its face.

my maft setting are everything zero'd out and base at 2 for the stock injector size as the ecu is supposed to compensate. the emamange is also zero'd out.

as far as i can tell i have no vaccum leaks.
 
it appears that im getting comprssor surge at like 3800 rpms when i hit whatever it si that is limiting my rpms so low.
 
Sounds to me like you need a tune really bad. I am not familiar with the greddy emanage so I cant offer much there.

I personally would take advantage of your EPROM and have it chipped for the 1000cc injectors or better yet ditch the emanage and go with DSMLink. You are running some pretty stout mods and it sounds like it is time to step up to something that offers a little more control.

the eprom is already chipped for the 1000's

i only have the emanage because it came with the car, ill eventually ditch it out. even if the tune is off i figured it would be at least driveable.......

what would cause the car to limit the rev's to like 3800? is there some type of built in safety mode its in right now?
 
Like I said before, I am not at all knowledgable(sp) with the emanage and have also never heard of anyone using it on a DSM. That doesnt mean it can be done though.

Even though you have the ECU set for the 1000s I would think you still have A LOT of tuning to do.

Have you done the obvious and checked for boost leaks, made sure plugs are good, etc...?

Like I said before, if the basics are good you are probably in major need for a tune. With your mods a chipped ECU isnt enough.

i totally unplugged the emanage so right now all i have controling the car is the chipped eprom and the maft set for stock injectors.

most people seem to say that the car runs and drives alright with it like this.......

basically everything is new right now, the plugs, wires..if it wasnt new now it definitly worked 4 weeks ago when i first started taking the car apart.
 
Did you get this worked out?

I'm running the emanage in my 98 TSI and don't have any major issues anymore with my idle. I'm only running 660's, but your 1000's shouldn't matter.

If you still need help, I can walk you through what I did on my emanage to get rid of the idle issues.
