Anyone running the new crower cams.. They are supposed to be exactly the same as the HKS 264/272 combo.. Let me know what anyone who runs them thinks or anyone who has heard stories about them.

If I remember correctly, they need to be degreed alot in order to have a nice vaccum and idle. Can some1 else put in some words of advice?

I believe your are talking about grind # 64416
and yes I am running them
no they were VERY close I took off my cam gears in fear of them slipping...again.
great quality and value I have had HK$ web and crower.
crower is my vote.
later :thumb:

Go check on slowboy racing. they have them they are brand new.. I am guessing they just came out.. They claim they dont have to be degreed.

Well I have the CROWERs in my in my fast DSM and I had a set of HKS 264/272 before and I vote for CROWER if you are going for race car but if you are going for srteet car then I would has get the HKS cams but its your call I'm putting a set in my DD so....

I run the stage 1 cams 64412 I think they don't pull much vacume but seem to work well, And they have been out awhile.

Bob

I got staged I as same as above. And the cam doesn't pull much vacuum but runs pretty good.

Man no one listens.. When I say new I mean brand new.. You know they just came.. out I dont want info on the old cams.. If you dont know what I am talking about go have a look on the slowboy website you will then see what it is I am talking about..

I know what you are taking about and I don't know anyone running one yet. From the spec it should be real close to HKS. I can tell you this though, I just ran 7.94@87mph on pump gas with EVOIII 16G@21-22psi with my old crower cams, intake straight up and exhaust 6 deg advanced.

Not mean to bench race but 12.3-12.5's on 1/4 mi. Still getting down for 16G on pump gas

he is talking about the 1/8 mile.

=þ... I guess it's a combination of me being a bit slow at 3am and having never seen an eighth mile track setup before.
