So 2 days ago my coolant light came on, i checked my overflow and it was bone dry. So i topped it off, drove it the next day, and woke up and checked it again and it was almost dry again, topped it off and headed to put it up on the lift. Lots of wetness coming from the bottom of the bottle so i am pretty sure i need a new one.

I think i still want to keep the sensor in tact, good idea?

It looks like there should be a cap on the bottom where the sensor is and that came off? There is just the sensor wires going through some caulking at the moment.

What are my CLEAN options to replacing the coolant overflow? I saw a couple on eBay but need some routes suggested. I want to keep it clean, so i dont want to use a NOS or Monster bottle cause that looks terrible to me.

Probably should include the goals for my car to assist with this question:

My Goals are just to max out an Evo3 16g as its my DD. So eventually VRSF FMIC, Injen intake/ K&N tomorrow etc.

HERE is the eBay coolant overflow bottle i found. Any experience with these? It doesnt look like there is a spot for the OEM sensor to go in the bottom?

Does the sensor still have the rubber stopper at the end? That sensor pops into the bottom of the overflow bottle and the rubber stopper at the end is what holds it in. A dab of RTV will keep it from falling back out. But that sensor doesn't seal the tank so the leak isn't normal.

That sensor isn't very important, the ECU and gauge sensors are at the thermostat housing. So if you don't have any CEL's, repair/replace the tank and stick the sensor back in. You could go with an aftermarket tank and remove or tie up the sensor, but there's a chance of a dash light kicking on as a result.

I think i would like to keep the sensor if possible, because i dont want to see the light on the dash. When i get link is it possible to ignore this sensor/light? And ya the rubber stopper at the bottom of the sensor is not there...

If i were you i would find a rubber seal of the same size and just glue it back together.
And if you disconnect the sensor, the light goes off.

Why not just replace it with another factory part from someone who swapped theirs out and is still in great shape? I found a few cheap on part outs, while looking for other parts in the classifieds.
