Fort Worth,
Well I got my AMS Feramic clutch in friday night. It took me forever to get the car back together but I did it. Anyway, I noticed the pedal was really easy to push and felt sluggish coming off the floor so I bled it and now its more springy but still very soft. It seems softer than my friend's talon ESI pedal. I don't get it.

I have put about 85 miles on it, probably the easiest 85 miles its ever seen. I haven't gone over 3000 rpm or 2 psi but the pedal is still soft. Is there any reason for this? I know I torqued everything down right (flywheel to 100 ft/lbs and pressure plate to 14-15 ft/lbs) The clutch seems to grab fine, and doesn't slip or even smell like new clutches usually do. Besides the light pedal, it seems great. Is this something I should worry about?

Did you replace the clutch line with a stainless steel one also?! Cause I replaced my old flywheel and clutch with a ACT 2100, XACT flywheel, and Road Race Engineering's stainless steel clutch line, bled it at least 5 times already and my pedal effort is still soft. It engages perfectly but I had more clutch pressure when I had my burnt up old ACT 2100 and stock clutch line in. I mean it still fine but I was used to the harder pressure I had before, so I don't think it something to worry about unless your grinding into gears etc...

No I did not replace the clutch line but as I said, I've been really soft on this clutch so it shouldn't really matter now. But yeah, it drives fine so I guess I won't worry about it until I start getting on it. If it is slipping then, I will start to worry but right now it seems fine, just light.

The Feramics have a light pedal pressure. Hell, it uses the stock pressure plate, doesn't it?

That makes me feel so much better to hear that. I have been adjusting my clutch pedal the past two days and have bled it 2 times. I have gotten a little pressure back by adjusting it but its still light. As long as thats normal, Its cool. I was just afraid I put it in wrong or had a real problem. Thanks guys.

I have a ACT2100, Fidanza and a SS Clutch line too. The clutch felt a little bit more stiffer than before when I had the stock line in there. But besides for that, its still a lot more lighter and softer than my friend's GST.
