Just wanted to do a simple preview of a new chassis being stepped into.
This came about as I had completed the DSM versions and I have been working with a guy in the chassis since coming to the US. So I designed one up for the engine. ( Do not worry as the DSM ones will be released after these are done ) This will most likely be in Jan for pre orders. There are 5 versions on the DSM so a lot more to do and will need to know who wants what versions etc.
But lets welcome to the chassis department the Toyota Supra! These timing pulleys fit many chassis infact but stemmed from the Supra! They fit 1JZ, 2JZ engines and a few others.
These are a full CNC machined pulley in 316 stainless steel for corrosion resistance, very long rebuildable lifespan and bearing options!
Normal bearings will be NSK, NTN and KOYO as the three major brands used but also we will offer a Ceramic bearing which will reduce friction and heat, allow the engine to rev faster and help a bit more in that department. Just like wheel bearings in ceramic these are an instant change when you use throttle so everything helps...
We came up with this for the Supra as finding bearings on their own is tricky and OEM is costly. So the service life to replacement bearings means that once you change the bearing just once you're already making savings! BIG savings
I know from doing the 4G engines that sometimes we do a few years and then swap stuff out with very little milage on the besrings but because we in there we do it. Thats what most of us do as a precaution. So being able to change a bearing out fo say 20-30 dollars means not only do we save money later on. The brands used are still obtainable unlike now where in the DSM sector some brands are not able to be found now. Whiteboxed pulleys are getting harder to find.
So with this new direction top brands are always available since the bearing is an off the shelf bearing!
Anyway enough of that! Here is the Supra JZ pulley and its design for you DSMers to see first.
(DSM versions will work in the same way just to the OEM design)
