NEw car problem It never ends

hello i recently run into a problem with my car. I started my car up and drove it down the street probably like a 1/4 mile and the car just completely shut off. There was no power anywhere. I opened my door and the seat belt slider didn't even work. There was just no power at all. I looked in the engine touched a few things and the car started up. Drove it another 1/4 mile to a gas station pumped gas and then it wouldn't start again. Nothing i did made it start ether. Brand new battery optima red top. There was a clicking sound coming from the panel right behind the driver seat right near the floor. No clue what that is. I don't know what it could be. I tryed jumping the car to no use, i was just able to roll up my window. I think it might be the alternator but my friend's dad thinks it might be something with the ignition or spark. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you so much everyone.

Pull your ECU and inspect it.

well you are all going to think I'm a little slow but all it seemed to be was the positive on the battery was loose. seemed to solved the problem by tighten it hopefully thats all it was. Now if only i can get this damn thing to stop leaking oil

This was my first guess until I got to the clicking under the dash part, always trust your instinct. Glad it worked out for you.
