In the near future, I am having Lucas English of English Racing do a 6bolt swap on my car. I am buying a used 6 bolt block from him, and he is going to use my 7 bolt head on the block. He is going to use the existing 6 bolt rods with new 8.5:1 compression pistons, with a BSE kit, a new water pump, and new timing belt. Now I need your guys opinions.. Is there anything else you recommend having done to the motor while it is out of the car. My head has almost 150k miles on it. I plan on making no more then 400hp with this motor. I want the car to be as reliable as possible. Any opinions are appreciated, thanks.

I would do a new oil pump since the motor will be out of the car. I hear English do great so just have them inspect the head and ask them if it needs or should have anything replaced.

You might want to look into rebuilding the head just to make sure you don't have to pull it off again anytime soon. You could always put some titanium valves in it for shits and giggles. (if you have the money of course);)

I would at least do new valve seals, springs and retainers.. That should keep you going strong for awhile! :thumb:
