Needing some guidance!!!

Just installed a 4g63t engine to my 90-91 plymouth laser, my problem is that the engine will not start after making the swap. We have checked all the connections(which are okay), engine compression(which is fine), but now I have to check for the "timing?" to see if it is right? How do I check it, or more so, do I have to get a qualified tech to check it for me? Thanks for your help...........

Goto the part on how to check the timing.

You need three things for a motor to start.
Spark (and all relative components ie. plugs, wires, coil pack, etc.)
Fuel (pump, filter, injectors, etc.)
Compression (air and fuel and spark go boom...)

Soo, check for spark and fuel along with timing.
