Here is my story. I stripped the banjo bolt threads for the turbo feed line that go into the head. I bought a longer one to catch the deeper threads still back there, drilled it out to match the holes on the oem bolt, and put it in. It worked, but I just want to double check that the extra length of the bolt wont effect oil flow. There isn't an oil squirter right next to that passageway or anything, correct? And just to justify my posting in this section, it really is a question about the head and not about the turbo system.

The oil system diagram we looked at when we were blocking off the head oil feed on my friend's car suggested that the turbo oil feed was right before the feed to the lifters and just from looking at the diagram, it looked like you could block off the feed to the rest of the head if you put a bolt that was too long in there to block it. We were cautious and sized the bolt to the same length. I honestly don't know if you can block off oil to the rest of the head with too long of a bolt, but looking at the service manual diagram I'd find out for sure before I ran the car.
