i just installed a amp and all i could get was a 3 foot rca cable and i dont like my amp layin on my floor temptin people to bust my window :notgood: is there anywhere within 3feet of my stereo location i could mount it out of sight? also, how much can the stock alt handle? my amp is runnin about 500W RMS and im not sure how much the stock alt can handle.. i've burned other alts out on other car's with alot less and dont want to have to buy another alt

autozone sells Tsunami amp cables, jsut go get one, and move it to the back.

Only you can tell if it will fit under the seat.

on a 2g the seat is so close to the floor it generally wont, but you have a 1g

Will it fit if you mount it under the dash, say around the glove box on the passenger side?

Depending on the size of it, you might be able to stash it behind the head unit around the center console on the hump near the floor.

As for Wattage, I've been running 500W RMS, 1000W peak for about a month now, no problems yet.
Except for the slight headlight and headunit dimming when its cranked :rocks:

first off just buy a longer cable but if not. i run a jl 500/1 on a 10w7 on my 2g and my outside lights dont dim at all (interior is different at high SPL) its all about the amp and how well you ground it. im using 4 guage power/ground wire. if your amp is of higher quality grounded well and your alternator is in good working condition you shouldn;t have anything to worry about.

cool, thanks for the replys guys, as for the longer cord, i would but as of right now i have about 5 cents to my name and that cable was all i could find in the store i was at (have credit at that store so had to take what i could get) i want to avoid under the seat because of it possably overheating.. while i was sittin watchin tv earlier i thought about trimming the inside of the glove box and mounting it up inside there, but that may overheat it too... guess i'll just have to do some pondering till i can figure out what i got to work with.. i can probably get a longer cable in a couple weeks if nothin else breaks

or if you have an old junk computer laying around, pull the computer fan out, install your amp in your glovebox some how and wire the comp. fan up to the remote turn on wire and ground so the fan keeps a stream of air going across the amp to help keep it cool. or like everyon else has said just go buy longer cables.. I've been running an Audiobahn 800x 2 with 2 polk audio momos since christmas with no problems.

I have a 400w amp mounter under the passenger seat, all the conections run through the center console and then under the carpet. Out of sight, out of mind :rocks:

i think i'll just buy a fan and rig it.. i'll see what i can do in the glovebox tomorrow.. im runnin a pair of JL audio 10's and a MTX 500W RMS amp at the moment, im thinkin about goin bigger down the road but this pounds pretty good for now.. i'll get a longer cable later if i cant find any way of mounting it that i like
