I am thinking about possibly selling off my Apexi EGT and Apexi boost gauge along with my dual A pillar. I no longer use the Apexi EGT, and have a different manifold on the car so the sensor is actually removed, however the gauge is still in place because I dont want an empty hole in the Apillar. In addition I have thought about selling off the Apexi boost gauge and the Apillar along with the EGT, as perhaps a package deal, since first off I log boost through DSMlink, and have a CEL Knock indicator through DSMlink. However, I've had thoughts of still keeping a boost gauge. If I do I was going to get a Greddy electronic boost gauge, so I could sell off the GM 3bar map sensor in addition, and use the Greddy gauge to log boost on DSMlink.

Anyway, long story short, how could I cleanly mount one single gauge in the car? Id rather not have an A-pillar mount, as if I'm removing my current gauges which work fine, I'd want a completely different setup, instead of having the same exact type of installation. Id rather have a hidden look, any ideas?

Good advanced tech inquiry.

I have and like the dash bezel, but it still holds two gauges.

Thanks for adding another helpful thread.

I have always liked the single guage in the spot where the cigarette lighter is. Just dremel it out, and put the guage right on in. It's clean, and it fits just perfect.

The only fear Id have of that location would be being able to see it while driving. If I cant view a boost gauge while driving, I feel I might as well not have one. I have seen them mounted in this fashion, and it doesnt seem too bad, just I think its a poor location for something that must be viewed while at WOT.

Thanks for the sarcastic comments. Your insight really helped.
True, it was sarcasm. However, it was entirely accurate. But don't respond, just report it.

Meanwhile, I'll assist in the cover-up of your faux-spaz by moving it for all of us. Because I'm just so damned noble and shit, and I won't even put a rolleyes on it.

Single-gauge options are pretty much the pillar or the steering column (which just never looks any better than a damned Chevy). You may want to consider the instrument gauge bezel dual-mount and a VDO clock or something.

I saw one car where the owner built a single gauge pod on the inside triangle by the side view mirror. It sits a lil lower and closer to the driver than an A-pillar so you can see it while driving but of course not on the actual pillar.

I also saw a car where the owner built a pod where the door vent is.

The only other options would be to get one of those universal single gauge cups and mounting it on the steering column, or mounting it below the radio (if you have an aftermarket single DIN radio) or in the cigarette lighter space.
