Need some end clutch info.

So i ordered the IPT end clutch kit for my talon, but I wont get it till next week and I need to take my car out of town this weekend for work.

Can I use the end clutch from my buddies FWD 1.8 trans to get by till monday, or will that even work?

i have been trying to find the info, but cant seem to find anyone that has done this.

The car I have is a 92 talon AWD turbo. My buddies is a 92 talon FWD non turbo with the 1.8.

Is the overdrive the only thing not working? How far are you driving? You might be able to get by just driving without 4th gear depending on where you are going.

OD is the only thing not work. It shifts great into all other gears, but when it goes into OD it just revs up.

And if it were a small trip I wouldn't worry, but its about 350 miles round trip.

Straight thru shot? At what speed? I drove mine for the longest with just 3rd. But I kept it under 62. Do you have a full exhaust?

Well. I have a certain time to be there so I would be doing about 75-80 on the highway. And I don't have full exhaust but the previous owner did remove the cat and muffler.
