need rear hub faq

Anyone have a faq on replacing the rear wheel bearing / hub assy on 1g awd?

There isn't one in the tech articles. It's a fairly easy install though, anyone with common sense can do it. You're looking at removing the Rear wheel speed sensor, then remove the parking brake cable. Remove the two bolts holding the caliper to the bracket it's on. Remove the brake disc. Remove the grease cap covering, there should be a wheel bearing nut that's holding the rear hub on with a washer behind it. Break it loose, if you need to take a prybar or large screwdriver and lodge it between two of the studs and the ground, so the hub doesn't move. Remove the hub and bearing assembly. This is how it is done on my 2wd, but AWD should not have any other unexpected surprises. If your hub assembly has a Pulse Wheel for the ABS system attached to the back of it, you just need to take it to a machine shop and have it taken off and pressed onto your new hub unit. That's all the help i can offer.

the manual i have made it sound like you had to have the hub assy presed in and out of the trailing arm.. Thanks for the help

It could be, like I said mine was FWD.
