what should i clean spark plugs with? is carb cleaner a bad idea?
i'm about to spend a day doing some maintenance in relation to a coolant problem i'm having and i figured i'd check some other things too.

thanks.

i have denso iridiums in there. sort of want them to last a while since i spent a little more.
i googled it and read brake cleaner should be ok. quick drying stuff.

That should be fine.
Best plugs for our car are still the NGK's.
Those denso's are platnum(sp) are they?

They are made from Iridium... Ya know the metal that supposed to come from a meteor...Not cracking or anything but does anyone else really believe that? I just cannot justify the cost of them at all.

But if you did buy them and paid alot of money (spark plug wise) I could see why you would want to clean them and not just replace. Understandable Id do it too.

yah. bought into the advertising. supposedly iridium as a metal provides easier spark, better cooling, etc. got em 1 degree colder.
anyway, i guess it cost me about 3 or 4x what a set of ngks were. i doubt they'll last as long as 3 or 4 sets, but i guess i want them to last as long as possible.
if they die, i shall go back to ngk bpr6es i think, unless i put some serious horsepower into it by then.
haven't had issues with the denso's, but as far as whether or not they work better than ngk coppers?
if at all, probably not triple or quadruple the cost worth.
