Well I have to get a new motor I cant take this shyt anymore I miss my car, if you wondering what happend to my motor check here

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=162040

So I dont want to wait until the lawsuit is over I'll pay out of pocket just to get my cra back on the road. So I am a newbie, not much mechanical experience however I am going to do the motor in my garage with a coupple of friends... All of whom has about the same experience as me! I dont trust mechanics and cant afford satan! Any way I've been loking for a motor and need help.

I would love to do the 6bolt sawp however I heard that it is a pain in the ass and extremely difficult to get the car started not to mention the long list of parts needed in the sawp.
Slow boy 6 bolt package for 2g is $1000 + 1000-1500 for a 6 bolt motor

Next option is to buy a used junk yard or old motor 7 bolt and drop it in... however then I dont know the condition of it, dont know if it will fire and has no warranty. Then if its not a 97-99 7 bolt (which are hard to find) I have to get more parts to complete the swap.
$1400-2300 basic quotes after calling over 70 locations

Next option is to buy a rebuilt or remanufactured motor, which would have a warranty, could drop right in, however this is not economical.
$1800-3000 not including turbo, intake manifold, only long block

Since that is not economical and for the cost of it I could buy a fully built motor since the cost would be about the same... but back to problem one, only 6 bolt motors and built and then they are hard as hell to drop in.
$2500-5000 2.4 stroker! LOL

Finnally I had the idea of buidling a motor myself, finding a 7 bolt 97-99 and rebuilding it myself, it would be the cheapest cost and I could get the experience for the day I want to tackle and 6 bolt swap. However this is time consuming and what if I #### up, then I am screwed....
$ unknown $ money and time and reliability

HELP ME I am looking for suggestions and advice on what to do, I just want my car back its to sexy of a car to be sitting in my garage alone! Really guys I want to get it back running so I can enjoy it and post other threads in the forum about the latest mod!

Also any tips or suggestions for the motor drop would be beyond helpful... I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm going to learn, already have the chiltons, and factory service manuals.

thanx
