I'm trying to wire these three gauges into my car and my Dad is helping me out as well, but the instructions we received with the gauges are not that good to say the least.

So we're wondering if anyone had a good link to a tutorial regarding where these wire up. My Dad has a pretty good knowledge of cars he just needs to know where "the lines are" I believe that's what he said, thanks for your time.

If you're looking for the ACC and +12cnst lines, just use the ones from the stereo as gauges don't take up much power

Stereo Information
Constant 12V+ Red/Black
Switched (ACC) 12V+ Blue
Ground Chassis
Illumination Green/White
Dimmer Black/Yellow
Antenna Trigger White/Black
Antenna Left Rear
Front Speakers 5 1/4" Doors
Left Front (+) Black/White
Left Front (-) Black
Right Front (+) Black/White
Right Front (-) Black
Rear Speakers 6" x 9" Side Panels
Left Rear (+) Yellow/Blue
Left Rear (-) Gray/Blue
Right Rear (+) Yellow/Red
Right Rear (-) Gray/Red

Volt - Just hook +ive to the battery, and -ive GND
Water Temp - Should of come with a sensor. One end goes from the gauge to the sensor, the other goes directly to GND
Oil Temp - Same as water temp.

For the illumination on the gauges, be sure to GND them separate from the stereo GND wire. Can make noise/cause power issues.

Good luck

OH! remember to disconnect the battery before tapping any wires, and remove any paint on the chassis for a solid connection.

Out of those 3 guages you don't really need any of them and they are a waste of space. If you ment oil pressure guage then that's a good guage to have but oil temp? As far as I am concerned as well as thousands of other people that have posted on the subject, you really only need a WB guage, oil pressure, and mechanical boost guage. Everything else is a waste of space. And don't tap into the radio power, use the cigarret lighter power line instead and put a fuse on it and ground where the ecu grounds on the passenger side of the cd player behind the carpet.

Yeah I know, but I got them for a really good deal I honestly couldn't say no LOL

You do realize he is NT? Boost is useless for him as he is turbo less and the wideband is kinds useless as well as be hasnt listed any fuel mods or tuning support.

Volt gauge is always good to have to monitor your alternator. Water temp is another good one as the stock gauge has a range for acceptable operating temperature. Lastly oil temp is a meh unless it's for an auto tranny oil temp.

Waste of space? So its a waste to know exactly what is going on with your car at all times? I have 6 gauges in my car: 2 oil pressure gauges, 1 water temp, AEM WB, volts, and a boost gauge. Only reason I have 2 oil pressure is because one is measuring the oil pressure to the turbo. I have an inline filter and I want to know if it becomes clogged so i don't blow my turbo.

OP- You can also solder all the positives together and run one wire down to your fuse box, find a fuse that is run through the ignition, and put the wire on the fused side of the socket and press the fuse back into place. I have done this to all my gauges and have had no issues.

Thanks will try that out! Appreciate it
