need help with tire descion??

The offset should be on the back of the wheel near the 18x7.5 information. Might just be a number or the number might have a + in front of it.

Thanks Wes. Can't say I've heard of people doing this, as it just seems like a dumb idea to me.


Side note - I'm drooling a bit over those 335's.

I did a quick google search with "255 on a 7.5" and got hits, mostly from Mustang forums.

Those 255 tires look shot. If you DD the car, you may as well buy a new set or risk hydroplaning on tires that bald.

If you trying to get a cheap fix, see if you have any local used tire sellers around you. I know there's a place near me that sells used tires that still have some life left in them. Since you only need one matched pair, it shouldn't be too hard to find a set.

how would a lip rolled be done. .. (nothing to do with op)

It rolls the lip inside the fender up and away from the tire. It gives you a bit more clearance for wider tires.

255/40-45/17, on a 8.5x 17 +30 works well. you have to roll fenders but it comes out looking angry.
