I followed the install instructions on Prostreets site

http://www.prostreetonline.com/pso/pages/howto/showarticle.asp?articleid=25

but i have a red, yellow, blue, white and purple wire left over. I know the red is power and not to connect the purple but what do i do with the blue yellow and white wires. The Apexi site won't let me download the afc ii download. Thanks.

You don't do anything with the other wires. They are not needed for the dsm cars. Electrical tape the ends so the wire doesn't come in contact with anything, and then just tuck them away. Of course you do need to connect the red wire just like the directions say. And yes, don't connect the purple/knock sensor wire. Also, hope you are soldering the connections, much better than vampire clamping the safc wires on. AND triple check to make sure the wires are connected to the correct locations.

EDIT - Also don't forget to setup the safc before you turn the car on. i.e. select karmen maf sensor, air pointing up, and some other stuff I believe.

cool thanks. yeah i soldered everything. The directions should say you don't need to connect those. The site doesn't even tell you to hook up the red (power) wire. thanks for the help though. :thumb:

It does say on the link you posted where to attach the red power wire. Maybe you over looked it. It's a paragraph half way down:

"Do the same to this ground wire, only put the black AFCII 2nd ground wire FURTHER away from the ecu harness side than the brown wire. Be careful not to mix this up. Then strip and tap pin 25 for the red AFCII power wire. "

Where did you end up connecting the red wire to? I would go back and connect it to pin25 if you didn't do that already.

wow i didn't even see that, maybe the bold threw me off. Yeah i tapped it into pin 25. Thanks for your help, i got it installed and running. Now i just gotta get my car running.
