need help with my 1996 gst running rich

hi guys i have 1995 gst and i just replaced the cam angle sensor becasue it was bad and once i got everything back together the car was running really rich it will start up and then it will keep on going down in rpms and die and when you drive it sputtering shaky untill you hit 4000rpms and is you go above that it sputters im changing the fuel filter and air filter today and ideas

Check all your electrical connections under the hood.
Especially:
Maf sensor plug
plugwires
coilpacks

Are you throwing any codes?

i'd make sure maf is plugged in all the way and also do a BLT

check checked everything it looks good now and now its idleing constent but is still running rich and now has a little knocking sound under the valve cover i have been told the timing is off dose that sound right

What injectors do you have and do you have a AFPR?
