Need help with electronic piece under intake

Hi guys, I dont have a camara on me right now so ill try to describe this the best I can. Under my intake next to the wastegate solenoid. There is a little black box its about an inch by an inch. Its bolted on the same bracket as the solenoid. It has a wire connecting to it that is coming from the harness beneath the fuse box. I accidently broke this of when I was removing my intake. I was wondering if any one can tell me what this is and what is its purpose. Any more info you need from me just let me know what your wanting, and ill try to get it to ya. Any help would be great.

I called jnz, and he thinks its the alternator relay. So if its the alternator relay what is its function.

it is the alternator relay, its function is to power up the voltage regulator. Basically it tells the regulator to tell the alternator to start charging. Hope this helps, hope the picture shows up too
