Hi Guys. I have a 1993 Eagle Talon DL with the 1.8 4G37 engine. I just replaced my alternator and I am on my second belt already after replacing it a week ago. I wasn't sure if I was putting the belt back on too tight, so the replacement I put on was more loose. Well on the way to classes today, it started to squeak again, like it did right before it snapped. When I get outside I am going to tighten it up a bit. Could it be a bad pully on the alternator or what? Please help, I can't afford to keep putting a $15 belt in my car once a week.
