Need help quick for friends car

I have been doing body work for a friends gst.It drove fine yesterday but when I woke up this morning to try and take it to the shop it wouldnt start unless i gave it gas, its running super rich with black smoke coming out the exhaust and if i try to drive it sputters in first and wont stop. If i try to rev it in neutral it goes anywhere from 1.5 to 3k rpms but falls then does it again. Sorry i dont know how to explain it any better than that, if you guys know what might be wrong that would be very helpful cause i cant even drive it to the shop just to get the body work done. It may have something to do with your Idle Air Control solenoid...Try getting that checked because it seems as if that fits the description of the symptoms you described. You can get it checked out with an ohmmeter although Im not sure how to do it. Im sure you can look it up on here or bring it in to a trustworthy shop.

Also the Fuel Pressure Regulator seems to be a common problem with those symptoms, check the nipple of it and make sure it's clean and there's no buildup...if there is anything wrong with it than I would suggest just getting a new one.

Im pretty confident it's either one or the other although I am not a guru....

Yeah me and another guy are gonna check it out tonight, ill take a look at those things too. The car is not drivable right now and id rather not have to pay for a toe truck. I also need to have to body work done by friday so im real stressed about this.

sounds more like an intercooler pipe or coupler may have blown off

Ya that is what I was thinking at first like a coupler blown off but he says that he couldn't find one. I would go over to fix it but he is basically an hour away and with work and school there is hardly any time. But maybe it is the isc? I never set the idle biss screw idle with the scanner or whatever holding the isc in a certain position or something like that. Here is the link to what I am talking about....

But the thing is that I drove this car to his house without a problem and he drove it for 2 days without a problem and then it just popped up out of no where?
