I got this car a couple months ago. 110xxx miles on it. 16g turbo, tial bov, 1g maf, stock 450cc injectors, walbro 255 fuel pump. I was driving it to work yesterday and it pulled in first, as usual, then when I shifted into 2nd the car started bogging and wouldn't accelerate correctly. One of my buddies said that it could be fuel cut because the car is running too big of a turbo for the stock injectors. Right now it's running about 11-12 psi. What would cause fuel cut ? And would could I replace/do to fix the problem ?

Sounds like a boost leak, running rich and/or knock being picked up an pulling timing... .

Fuel fut is violent and feels like you're hitting a brick wall... .

Do a BLT and rule it would... Some sort of a log after that would help if you still are having problems after fixing any leaks or if there are none( doubtful) .

Actually when I bought the car the guy said it needed an exhaust gasket replaced real bad, I just haven't gotten around to replacing it. Do you think that could be whats causing the fuel cut ?

is the fuel filter clog up ? or the filter on your pump have you check the tank and seen if it was clean befor installing the 255 lp pump ? check your fuel relay ? most of the time when a fuel relay going out it wont start or it just dies when driving it but i had one that cut my fuel pump off then on off then on LOL crazy

My car used to do the same thing in mid to high rpms. I changed the plugs and wires and everything got fixed. I don't think you would have a boost leek with only 12 psi of boost. You should get bigger injectors if you want to run higher boost. More boost equals more fuel. Your fuel pump is good for big injectors. Try a tune up or just change plugs and wires and hopefully that will do the trick. Hope this is of help.
