Ok so i installed the gm maft setup but i cant find the CAS i have the haynes manual bu it doesent show any pics just tells you the location. I have found what looks to be theCAS but the manual shows 3 wires out of the plug and this only has 2. im very confused on this cause i know it has to be there somewhere. Or i need a diffeerent spot to tap for the rpm signal i have read about it but all i find are Pin 21, 58 but have know idea what that means Pics would be a great help. This is on a 2g eclipse Thnks.

The CAS is located on the passenger side of the motor just below the valve cover. The plug has 3 wires and the plug in faces the throttle body. But you can also get teh tach wire at your ecu which is located behind your radio and it is the white wire. I believe it is in the top plug.

Don't the 95-96 have to go the ECU route (or hunt through the wiring loom for the tacho), as their CAS is located in/behind the intake cam gear, or some such silliness?

It's just the 90-94 and 97-99 that have an easily accessible CAS, IIRC. The 95-96 just have a blockoff plate on the passenger side of the intake cam, if I'm not mistaken.

If you look at the engine, right behind it is a plug that looks exactly like your 2G MAS plug, the white wire on the plug is Power Transistor pin 4. It should be the middle wire. That's where you wire the MAFT white wire to. :thumb:

OK so its on the drivers side i founf 2 plugs near the the on the motor on has 3 wires that go into the plug like a triangle and the other one has 3 wires in a row. Which one is the cam sensor? The haynes book shows the cam sensor being the plug with the wires in a row but im not quite sure because of the location????

Anybody?? For sure is hte CAS the triangle plug on the 65-96?? and What wire do i tap the Red, Black or Blue???
