Right now im stuck between the FIC injectors and the Precision Turbo injectors offered by dejon tool. (the FIC's are from Extreme Psi) i'm looking at 550cc and was wondering who thought what was better between the two.
Thanks
Johnny

if your trying to say there the same why is there a $50 difference in price im wicked anal when it comes to quality of products i haven't heard much about Precision turbo injectors and was looking for feedback on the quality of both:confused:

Don't bother with 550's, trust me I've been down that road before. I started with 510's, then 550's, now I have FIC 650's and I love them! The car idles and drives like stock. 550's will not be enough, trust me - do it right the first time and you'll have plenty of fuel for plenty of boost. BTW I maxed out my 550's, I'm currently running 83% DC @ 20psi boost on my 650's (on pump 94 of course).

550's are more than enough for a 16g.

If they're both ball/disk style it makes little to no difference. Because of the way that injectors work, they all must be made to the same tolerences. Go with the cheaper ones and use the 50 dollars to upgrade something else.

EVOII 16G, 550, 20 psi with 900 c EGT = 93% injector D/C for me. 16G could use 660.

I myself got fic 660cc injector's just for that little extra cussion and or if I ever upgrade to something bigger than my EVOIII 16g

If it helps you any, I have FIC 650's and running 20psi on a PTE50 trim I get a max of 67% duty cycle. Stock lines, 1g rail Supra pump not hardwired and a afpr at 43psi base.

wouldn't the larger 650 be harder to tune without an AFPR? When would that extra ability of fuel be needed, i have no intentions of upgrading my turbo.. is it the mere fact u could up the boost to 18-19+ safely?

Not really unless you have a 2g and a 255hp or larger pump. Then you might have some problems with overrunning the stock fpr, but thats not "horrible" even then and you can still tune the car.

I ran the supra pump for about 6 moths before I recently installed the afpr. I can say that now the car is much smoother thru-out the rpms. It also is much easier to tune the WOT. A/F ratios seem to be more consistent now than before.

Injector size has nothing to do with AFPR - AFPR is needed when the fuel pump overruns the stock FPR. 650cc injectors will keep your duty cycles down and are easily tuneable. Plus you will have the option of upgrading in the future. I never thought I would want more than my 16g, but after 4 years I got sick of it and bought a 50-trim (WOW!).

I have a 255 walbro and 660cc injectors and they are totally over running my stock fpr...because I barely idle its so rich

FIC Injectors are the best in my opinion. But back in the day when I ran a big 16g I had RC 550s which also were kick ass. :thumb: I think you should get the RC 550s for the 16g.
