Hey everyone, its been about a month since Ive been on here. I am finally ready to start building the whole engine.

For those who never saw, My head got demolished in an unknown circumstance, requireing me to buy a new one. After taking off the valve cover, I found some ARP L19's :hellyeah: ... That saves me 400 bucks. After taking off the head, found some Wesico Pistons, looked them up, says they're used in applications where its a .02 overbore. :thumb:

I had already bought a complete (stock) head. But after making this discovery, I decided to hold off.

My existing mods:

Fuel Lab
SAFCII
Stock 14B
And this newly found built bottom end.

Goals: This isnt a daily driver. Its going to be the car for t he dragstrip. Max power.

I am ordering some 272/272, or 280/280 (thoughts?) cams. springs, etc.

I intend on ordering a new turbo, and exhaust manifold in a couple weeks. Im shooting towards a 35 series. HX35, or Garret 35gt. Im not really a fan of FP, or Precision.

I have a book on how to build these engines. Shows you all of the math and all that. Issue is, I'm having problems deciding what size of injectors I will be needing. Right now are some 550's, but I know those arent going to cut it.

That SAFC is going to limit you greatly since it can only control up to 50% of the stock size. The biggest you can go reliably would be roughly 650s.

If your goal is to go with a big turbo in the future i'd recommend saving up for ECMLink and then buy the biggest injectors you can afford first. That way you don't end up upgrading twice.

I personally went with 1150s since i know i'm going to want to go bigger than this E316g one day.

For a turbo in the holset flavor, I'd go no less than a 1600cc injector, a 400 lph pump, and link. This will give you the option of maxxing it out on e85. Assuming your trans and clutch hold out! Kelford 272s would compliment an hx35 well

Money isnt really a concern, its just the timing im at right now, new place, deposit, etc, etc. I take home a little over 900 a week.

With the 550's that I currently have, could run the 272's, with stock turbo, until i finally make up my mind what turbo I want? (I dont want to be displeased) Just so its a running moving vehicle, so I can move it when I need to, other then wenching it onto my trailer?

With the 14b you could run 550s with just a maf swap.

But like stated if your gonna buy injectors new, get bigger than you need, that way you have more room to grow into more boost or a bigger turbo and vice versa.

Scrap the safc and save money for ecmlink. You will be much happier with a total tuning solution, rather than just adjusting your fuel.
