Need help about MDP

alrite my CEL came on like last week...i had it read and it said P1400. So i went to my mechanic and have him to see whats wrong with it. Well it turned out to be a senor problem. The description reads "Manifold Differential Pressure (MDP) senor circuit malfunction" He couldnt find where is it. SO does anyone know where the MDP is? and how to fix it? I need to do my emission soon so i need it fix asap.

Thats right. And so that you do not have to ask such a simple question in the future you should look into buying the service manual for your car. It is your friend!

its a sensor on the top of your intake manifold. shape of the letter T with one 8mm bolt on each side of it holding it down. this little doo-hickey messes with your idle a bit and is just a worthless bastard from the get go. Mitsu. charges an arm and you first born for one, but you can find one online for like $20 from someone that did a complete 6bolt swap.

If you are doing the 6-bolt in a 2g, you need to keep the sensor. But yes, they are cheap online.

Technically, it is the Manifold Actual Pressure sensor, not Manifold Differential Sensor, though they are often confused.
