Need guidance~

Ok guys I need some advice on some things. Here's my situation, I have bought all this stuff to put on my car and havent had much time to install it such as: Fp big t-28, and a used 7bolt that i also need advice on what to do with, i plan on having the head machined and ported out with crower i/e cams and new valve,springs/guides and on the block i will just be matching it and i guess just 1g rods* im not sure let me know where to go with that, but heres the deal. I bought this turbo (fpt28) before i even thought about the motor. So now I am going to have this fairly built motor and this small turbo that is still worth some money. So i dont think this turbo is going to do much for me. Ok so heres the big thing, I only have 2k to play with and thats it. Im getting a deal on the head work so thats not a big deal, but Im not sure what i need to do about this turbo, what do i need to upgrade to, i really would like to go fpgreen or red but im not sure what im getting into here this is above my DSM knowledge(way advance for me.) The FP T-28 i have here has a PR O2 Dump and a 17psi actuator I also bought an evo manifold for it all and this has never been on the car so now I guess i just need your opinions and recommendations on a cheap (under 2k) turbo setup thanks again guys.

Mods: Dave Brode IC piping w/ 1g BOV, MBC, TT, K&n, Full 3" Turboback, Boost, A/F, Oil Temp guages, , B&M FPR, ACT 2100

Sitting in the garage: Fp T-28, O2 Dump, Evo manifold,550cc injectors, Complete 7 bolt minus intake manifold

Parts needed: FMIC, SAFC2, New turbo, Walbro 255, what else guys?

I didn't see you mention Injectors. RC550s are awesome injectors for the money (less than 300)... i wouldn't go any bigger than 660 with out knowing what your HP & auarter mile goals.

I'm still runnin' a 7 Bolt.

550's are listed as "In the garage"......
Logger for the SAFC or DSM-Link... some sticky tires and prothane motor mounts.

Sell your stuff to get more money. Use that then for a turbo kit from agpturbo.com
They have a full kit for $1650 and up. The only thing you need to get extra is injectors, piggy back and datalogger.

I would personally get a bigger turbo than that t28. Maybe a smim? A set of hk$ cams would do you nice as well.

Prefabbed kits always cost more than putting together your own ... and he has 90% of the parts already.

Thats the plan Im not sure how much i can get out of this t28, and i dont know what else i need to get rid of, I don't mind building up my own setup, but I do like the idea of the to4 setup that comes with the wastegate + the custom manifold and dump tube. i hate the $$$ of that setup :thumbdown

i saw that kit the other day. kinda sounds to good to be true. there was a tread the other day about ss autochrome mani's being junk. :thumbdown im sure someone will give u the 411.

Yeah, their manifolds are junk and will crack in no time. I wouldn't recommend this kit to anyone.

First of alll what are you power and 1/4 goals?

The t28 is an awsome turbo that will preform nicely, but being as your fwd toruqe steer and traction will be an issue.
