need help did swap, need help!!!

i dont know which thread this should have went into?

i did a motor swap in my 92 eclipse gs
i swapped the motor, harness and ecu from a 91 gst into my 92 gs non turbo...
everything works fine except my rpm gauge wont work, tried everything and nothing works can somebody help, i even changed the cluster and everything?????

Have a good look at the transistor and wiring for it. That is what triggers the rom gauge on these cars.

ok what and where is the transistor?

I believe he is talking about the one below the coil pack with a clip/harness about 1.25" plugging into it. mark
