My car is down because the lower caliper bolts are broken off into the caliper bracket. I have a 1996 eagle talon Tsi AWD. Does anyone know where I can get some replacement brackets and bolts for my car? This car is my daily driver - please help!

Junk yards in my area are fresh out of dsms
All part stores even the dealer don't sell the brackets alone, I actually tried to order the full caliper with mount to repair my car but advanced autoparts apparently cannot decipher the difference between ABS and non ABS mounting brackets.

How about the dealer. I snapped off my right side caliper bolt and got a new one for $17.
*edit*
Are you sure the dealer can't get it??? Try Auto Parts Fast at RockAuto

holly shit dude I did a 1 minute search and found it for $11.61

While I completely appreciate your attempt. If you look at the details for that caliper you found, it lists FWD. Even if you look under GSX the caliper mount bracket details show the part is for a FWD. Please save the sarcasm, these really are hard to find. Likewise, I beleive that it must be for an AWD with ABS. Also, the dealership won't sell just the bracket to me, they want to sell me the entire caliper assembly. Of course, maybe mitsubishi would, but my local mitsu dealership usually refuses to sell my eagle talon parts because they are certain that the mitsubishi eclipse is a completely different car...retards. They always ask for the VIN before selling me a part.

yeah thats lame the dealer will not sell you mitsu parts. I deal with Mentor in ohio and they take my vin no problem. MB618218 is the support braket $52.94 from them, and there is a diffrence from AWD to FWD as its MR128130 and sells for $94.22.

Good luck.

Yeah, thanks a lot for the part number I will reference that. I was under the impression that AWD with ABS and without actually have different caliper mounts. Do you know if this is true and if so which does the part number correlate to?

when i put my vin in caps (95 talon awd w/abs) thats what i got, and then i went in with a random look up and got the same part number so there the same, abs or non abs. but as you stated and I know, that the AWD and FWD are totaly diffrent.

im just telling you from what caps is telling me, when i put in my vin for my 95 talon, i get that number, when i dont put in a vin, it gives me all years, and i get the same part number, now when i switch over to fwd, i get a diffrent part number. that guy in that posting looks to have gotten a set off a newer car.
see pics for the awd parts.

Well sorry for being a smart ass, When I went to my local mitsu dealer and got it 2 days later, maybe they changed it in 97 (it looks the same to me). I would call Rock Auto they have always helped me in the past.

It's cool man. Thanks a lot for the information on the site. I never knew that site existed even. A local store says they can get me the brackets so tomorrow I'm goign to see if they have the right part. If they do not, I will try calling Rock Auto. I'll let you know how that goes.
