alright I'm pretty sure that I need a new ecu, but I was wondering if I could use any ecu from any turbo 1g...or if there are any numbers that I need to match up..I have a 92 gsx

a 91-94 with same "options" will work, example: 5 speed or auto ect...

If your computer just needs a rebuild let me know, I have a couple emails of people that do dsm ecu rebuilds. which consists of replacing leaking caps, cleaning up the board and making sure everything works ok and so on. Let me know.

If it is a 5 spd, you can use the ecu from any 91-94 5spd car, awd or fwd. If it is auto, same applies but the ecu has to be from an auto. You can also use a 90 ecu from an equivilent car, you just need to switch pins 6 and 14 at the ecu. http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ecu-harness-1G.html

I personally would stick with the md166262 which is original for your car if it is a 5 spd.
